The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render services into the community.
SASSA might be rendering services like new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, plus the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency explained it can be alarmed in regards to the significant range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The intention with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your superior quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office devoted to status sassa service the area on a daily basis. The service point made for intervention encounters a high inflow of possible beneficiaries, that makes it tricky to the office to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to permit the servicing of all buyers and maximize use of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
